Create

On mobile devices, users can use the Create Icon to create transactions and other important actions. It is available on every screen except transaction modals.

  1. On a tablet, it opens a menu with multiple selections.
  2. On a phone, it is contextual to the current screen.

iOS

When to Use

  • When creating is a main task for users.
  • When you have many types of things to create, and need to provide a central location for creating.
  • Use when the user needs to create transactions.

Appearance & Behavior

  • On the main company activity screen, it opens a menu with multiple selections.
  • On transaction and people lists it launches a create flow contextual to the current location (for example, from a list of invoices the icon launches the  new invoice flow.)
  • Your product requirements and use cases should determine whether the create opens a menu or launches a flow.
  • Menu items should remain consistent throughout the application to avoid user confusion (“Why is this menu different?! Where did that dang link go?!”).
